Paraset chokes for the AF output valve

These  can be obtained from:

or

Originally the choke had two end mounting lugs which were removed with a small hack saw and four solder tags are soldered to the mounting frame (2 at the front as in the pic and another two at the back).

This will allow the choke to fit in nicely under the chassis where it was located in the "original" Paraset.should go.

Use this link to see the choke on the above site

The picture shows an A.F. Choke which can now be purchased from Mike who supplies this item specifically for the paraset. These days the clamp that holds the laminations comes with a lug at each end used for securing the choke to the chassis. Because of size constraints under the chassis of a paraset these lugs will need to be removed, just use a hack saw to cut them off and dress the cut with a file. Four solder tags are now soldered to the sides of the clamp giving you four mounting lugs as in the original and it will now fit below the chassis. If you look at the photo you can see the finished choke. The choke comes with flying leads which is done to give you the option of fitting your own paxolin tag board to the top of the choke if you wish. Mike I am sure would provide such a choke with connecting lugs already fitted to the bobbin instead of flying leads....you only have to ask!

The choke is the correct inductance (36Henries) and it performs really well in the paraset. We know because it has been tested so you can buy this item with confidence. The one in the photo has been dipped a couple of times in a dark varnish to give it an aged appearance, the new on of course looks new! Mike incidentally can and does provide a lot of mains transformers so if you are going to build a paraset mains psu or dc psu and need a transformer then look no further!

Cinch Jones connector ordering code.

A three pin connector is used on the Paraset to deliver H.T. the 6.3v and of course the earth return for these supplies.

A chassis mounting plug is used on the Paraset chassis since the pins that can be touched are not live. The ordering code for this chassis mounting plug is: P 303 AB

The code for the mating in line socket for the above three pin connector is: S 303 CCT

Now you know!

We have heard from Pierre Antoine LOUIT F6FWB in Toulouse FRANCE that he used this factory to make
